Can I suggest a speaker I don't know personally? Please do! Just let us know how you've heard about this person, and why you think they should speak at Conference. Can I suggest someone I work for, or a client of mine? Yes. Can I suggest myself as a speaker? Yes. What type of ideas should I suggest? We welcome all ideas that would be of interest to the IT & Engineering Staffing industry. We welcome panel ideas as well as topics that could be presented by a single speaker. No idea is a bad idea! Session styles will include interactive workshops, panel discussions with industry experts and focused small group conversations. We will host over 20 dynamic sessions. The conference content should focus on the areas below: Growing Revenue From innovative strategies for the CEO to proven tactics for account executives, these sessions focus on accelerating revenue growth Improving Profitability In an era of increasing margin pressure, learn what high profit firms are doing to boost productivity, lower costs and improve operational efficiency What's Next Preparing for the future What are the key trends that will transform the industry? Which business models are likely to be successful in the marketplace of tomorrow? What new technologies have the potential to disrupt the industry? Whether you are an owner, account executive, or recruiter, what do you need to know to ensure you and your firm are prepared to not only survive, but thrive in future? During these sessions, hear how others are positioning themselves and their firms in response to the accelerating pace of change within the industry. IMPACT! Talks (Think Ted Talks) We also have the innovative IMPACT! Talks that will include three (3) talks (similar to the popular “TED” format) that will each be strictly held to 15 minutes or less. Small Group Discussions - Industry Challenges TechServe will be hosting small group discussions throughout the conference that will focus on a specific industry challenges. If interested in leading a small group discussion, please submit your name, firm and the industry challenge you wish to discuss using SUGGEST A TOPIC. Small group topics will be promoted to attendees and advance sign up will be requested. Discussion groups will be with 15 or fewer attendees to encourage participation. Is there a deadline for suggesting a speaker/topic? Yes. Please submit your speaker/topic suggestions by April 12, 2019. A committee of industry leaders will review all suggestions and will make the selection. Speakers will be notified in July 2019 if they were selected to speak. What is the recommended or required length of presentations? The TechServe conference is made up of a combination of keynote addresses that run approximately 50 minutes (including Q&A); as well as numerous breakout sessions that run about 45-minutes and vary in format, including panels, Q&As, debates and working sessions. We encourage sessions that are interactive and require the speaker to engage with the audience. We also have the innovative IMPACT! Talks that will include three (3) shorter talks (similar to the popular “TED” format) that will each be strictly held to 15 minutes or less. Our conference team will review all nominations and determine the best fit for each topic/speaker. Does TechServe compensate speakers? TechServe Alliance members who speak at the conference are not compensated, nor does TechServe compensate speakers who represent products or services designed for the IT and engineering staffing industry. Speakers are recognized in conference marketing, including photos and full bios on the conference website, and are highlighted in the onsite guide provided to each conference attendee.
